The Gastroenterology Physician provides specialized medical care focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, performing procedures such as small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy. The role involves inpatient care including floor, emergency department, and ICU settings with overnight beeper call coverage on a weekly basis. Candidates must be board certified or eligible, hold an active Massachusetts medical license, and current BLS certification, with ERCP experience preferred but not mandatory.
