• Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: 08/09/2025 6 Months (with option to extend)
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Daily, 6:00a 6:00p
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Neonates, Infants
• Patient Volume/Census:
- 9 13 patients/day
- 3,000 deliveries/year
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: Yes (ED consults only)
• Case Mix: Nursery, ED evaluations for well/sick newborns
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 12 rooms (up to 16 babies)
• Trauma Level: Adult II, III, IV
• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: Call room available
• Specialty Backup Available: Neonatologist, NNP in NICU (24/7)
• Support Staff Available: Neonatologist (varying hours), NICU NNP
• Reason for Coverage: Discontinuation of inpatient PEDs dept.; PRN nursery coverage

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: MN license required; IMLC accepted; willing to license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP; DEA required
• Experience: 0 2 years acceptable
• Other Qualifications: Completion of ACGME/AOA accredited pediatrics residency; must be comfortable with ED peds consults (no admissions)

• Provide pediatric hospitalist coverage in nursery and ED (no inpatient peds admissions)
• Perform required newborn procedures including circumcisions
