Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Government Facility in Sanford, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a strong presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor for and report any unusual activity or security-related issues in assigned areas.
- Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and patrols.
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies in accordance with Allied Universal's protocols.
- Operate and carry authorized firearms responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws and Allied Universal guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
