Hospital seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) unit in Katy, TX, offering day, night, and mid shifts with full-time, part-time, and per diem options. Requires ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS, ~1 year nursing experience (preferably med-surg), EMR proficiency, and strong clinical assessment/implementation/documentation skills. Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1 year nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or similar setting
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those with both acute and chronic medical conditions
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and implement treatment plans as directed by physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and to facilitate discharge planning
- Educate patients and their families on chronic and acute disease management, medical conditions, and post-discharge care
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with hospital and departmental policies
