Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse with strong couplet care and nursery experience to join a rural community hospital in Hawaii. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages.
- Manage 45–50 deliveries per month in a low-volume, community hospital setting.
- Perform intermediate to advanced fetal monitoring and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float as needed to assist other departments (not as a primary nurse).
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned (eligible for additional $2.00/hr differential).
Requirements:
- Active Hawaii RN License (required)
- Minimum 4 years of Labor & Delivery and Nursery experience
- Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certification
- Proficient in EPIC EMR
- Must be available for night shifts and holiday coverage
