Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with strong experience in high-risk coronary interventions and STEMI cases for a Level 1 trauma acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Full-time position in a cardiac cath lab within an acute care hospital
- 6 lab suites with an average of 18 procedures per day
- Care for patients with coronary and neuro diagnoses, including high-risk coronary interventions and STEMI cases
- Duties include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating
- Willingness to learn and assist with neurointerventional procedures for call coverage
- Potential to float to EP or IR as needed
- 5 eight-hour day shifts per week, with start times at 0700 or 0830 as assigned
- Weekend call required for 4 weekends during the 13-week assignment, with a 30-minute call response time
- Scrubs are provided for all shifts
- Utilizes Epic and McKesson EMR systems, Epic experience preferred
- Negative drug screen is required for campus access
- Supervisor/charge support available during operating hours (0600-1630 M-F)
- Comprehensive orientation period includes 5 shifts in the first week
- No COVID vaccination required
- No radius rule; local rates apply for those with a permanent address within 50 miles
- Call and holiday coverage are required as scheduled
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years cath lab experience required
- Must be able to scrub and circulate for high-risk coronary and STEMI interventions
- Willingness to learn neurointerventional monitoring/circulating for call
- Current ARRT (R), IL state license (active at time of consideration), BLS (AHA), and ACLS (AHA) required
- Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) required
- Active license required if applicable
