The Pediatric Hospitalist Physician is responsible for providing inpatient care to pediatric patients in a Level 2 pediatric center near Myrtle Beach, managing procedures such as ventilator support and line placement. The role involves block scheduling with flexible hours, typically working 10-12 hour shifts with a response time of 25-30 minutes during off-hours. This position does not cover PICU or NICU and focuses on hospitalist duties rather than delivery room attendance.

Location Name: Great location near Myrtle beach and surfside beach
Specialty: PEDS HOSP
• Candidate Parameters: Residency trained, and board certified in pediatrics.
• Block Scheduling preferred 7 on/7 off with APP support but flexible.
• You do not need to be inhouse during the evenings. 25-30 minutes response time.
• Typical week would be 1-2 peds admissions (if any) at the MOST it would be 5-6 peds patients over a 7-day block
• 10-12hrs/day every day per week
• Level 2 peds center
• Procedures: ventilator management, line placement They also run codes with a code team (nursery RN and RT)
• 10-18 patients per day, mix of new and admitted.
• The peds hospitalist does not attend all deliveries. For routine deliveries, there is a nursery nurse and RT attending. For high risk or if the nursery nurse needs help, the hospitalist will be called.
• No PICU or NICU
o High risk deliveries are sent out
• NO LDRP model
