Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift ICU Critical Care contract requiring a CA RN license and current ACLS/BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
- Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
- 13-week contract assignment
- Direct care for critically ill adult patients
- Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in the ICU
- Provide direct patient care and guide activities of other nursing personnel
- Communicate promptly with physicians regarding patient condition changes and critical lab results
- Expected to respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of application
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Completion of a workplace violence prevention course (DCI/BVP) is required; free CDC courses are accepted
- Minimum two years of ICU nursing experience
- Verification through Nursys may be required
