Job DescriptionThe Cardiac Telemetry Nurse will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiac step-down unit, managing patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac telemetry, skills in managing drips, and experience with post-operative cardiac patients.
Responsibilities- Monitor cardiac telemetry and vital signs for assigned patients.
- Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as per protocols.
- Implement nursing interventions for acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding cardiac health.
- Assist in special procedures as necessary.
- Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor is required.
- Traveler experience is required unless the candidate has over 24 months of cardiac experience.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Preferred skills include arterial line management and charge experience.
