Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon to join a multi-state surgical group in Sacramento to manage acute neurosurgical cases from the ED and transfer center, provide inpatient consults, and perform emergent and elective procedures. Role emphasizes trauma and high-acuity inpatient care, collaboration with ED, hospitalists, and ICU teams, and offers a predictable schedule (approx. 26 weeks/year), competitive compensation ($457,500) and benefits including malpractice tail and CME allowance. Requires neurosurgery board certification/eligibility and an active (or obtainable) California medical license.
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible NeurosurgeryPhysician to join a well-established, multi-state surgical group in Sacramento,California. This role offers an excellent balance of acute care neurosurgery,inpatient consultative services, and operative opportunities, supported by acollaborative, high-acuity clinical team.
The Neurosurgery Physician will play a critical role in managing acuteneurosurgical cases presenting through the Emergency Department and transfercenter. The position focuses on inpatient consults, trauma-related cases, andperforming necessary neurosurgical procedures in coordination with experiencedED physicians, hospitalists, and a well-staffed ICU team.
Compensation $457,500

Responsibilities
- Provide neurosurgical consultation for emergency and inpatient cases
- Evaluate and manage trauma-related neurosurgical conditions
- Perform emergent and indicated neurosurgical procedures
- Collaborate closely with ED physicians, hospitalists, intensivists, and nursing staff
- Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction
Schedule
- Predictable schedule: 26 weeks per year (approximately 2 weeks per month)
- 183 days annually qualifies as full-time
- Per diem and part-time options available

Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
- Active California medical license or ability to obtain
