Director of Finance & Operations
About the Role:
Our client, an early-stage fintech startup partnered with a nonprofit affiliate, is seeking a versatile finance and operations leader to build and scale the financial, HR, and compliance functions across both organizations. This role is highly strategic but hands-on, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments and can balance innovation with operational excellence. The company is committed to ensuring its operations maintain integrity, compliance, and measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
- Manage accounting operations, payroll, cash flow, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with tax, labor, and nonprofit regulations.
- Design and implement HR policies, benefits, and talent management processes.
- Oversee grants management, donor reporting, and funding compliance.
- Collaborate with leadership on operational strategy, risk management, and organizational scaling.
- Optimize systems and processes to support rapid growth and organizational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Degree in finance, accounting, or business (CPA, MBA, or HR certification a plus).
- 10+ years’ experience in finance/operations leadership, ideally spanning both startup and nonprofit environments.
- Expertise with accounting, payroll, HR systems, and financial compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth fintech environment.

Pay:$125,000.00 - $275,000.00
