Responsibilities include inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic management with an average of 20 patients daily, and low call volumes supported by a nurse practitioner. The role involves performing specialized diagnostic procedures like EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies, using EPIC EMR, and collaborating with clinical and administrative support staff.

Duration: January July 2025 (potential for extension)
Schedule: 1-3 weeks per month
Shift: Mon Fri, 8a-4.30p
Call: Very low call volume - possibility of zero calls and zero consults
Scope: General Neurology with an inpatient rounding component - EEG, EMG and Nerve Conduction Study abilities preferred.
EMR: EPIC
Hospital: level 3 trauma center
Group/support: 1 NP, 1 Clinical support staff per provider (currently 1 LPN and 1 MA for 2 providers), 1.5 Patient access (non-clinical) staff. The clinic shares a centralized front desk for patient check in and management of clinic visitors
Requirements (boards, license): Board certified or board eligible, active Louisiana or compact license
Location: 1 hour from New Orleans

- NP taking primary call. 24 hours to respond to hospital consults. Clinic call ends at 8pm on weekdays. Weekends are 24 hour call for stat consults.
