Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Oncology position requiring an IL RN license and Epic experience.
Responsibilities
- This position is in a hospital setting on a dedicated oncology unit
- Care for adult oncology patients within a Level 1 Trauma environment
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- No on-call responsibilities are required
- EPIC charting system is used and experience is required
- Floating may be required within the scope of the unit
- Responsible for comprehensive patient care including assessment, planning, interventions, and documentation
- Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members
- Documentation of care must be current and accurate for effective communication
- Maximum of 7 days for requested time off during the 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be assigned to this client for more than 1 year continuously and must take a 6-month break before returning
- No travel partner assignments are allowed
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license (temporary licenses accepted)
- Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience; three years preferred
- Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Demonstrated experience in Level 1 Trauma and with EPIC EMR
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
