Master Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Job Overview:
We are looking for technicians / mechanics who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guests.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guest
- Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
- Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate concerns
- Work together with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in high-level diagnostic work
- ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve Master L1, A Tech preferred
- Proficiency with electrical diagnostics and ability to read schematics
- Ability to produce 50-60 hours per week
- A desire for long-term career development
- Must be able to work on and diagnose all makes and models
- Must have own toolbox and tools
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Low comeback rate
- Ability to be a team player and help all technicians grow and learn
- Coachability from peers and supervisors
- Positive can-do attitude
- High level of proficiency with technology
- Familiarity with various manufacturer software and scan tools
- High attention to detail
- Ability to clearly communicate the steps of work done on vehicles through electronic means
- A positive attitude and a desire to serve guests
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance and strong communication
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Must be able to stand for most of the shift
- Must be able to crouch, squat, and kneel for short periods of time
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles
- Efficiently navigate a computer
