American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist with at least 2 years of pediatric echocardiography experience and current BLS to join our team.
Responsibilities- Work in a pediatric echocardiography setting with a daily caseload of 4-10 patients per tech
- Covers both main hospital and North Charleston clinic locations
- Schedule is Monday through Friday with staggered 8-hour day shifts starting between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM
- No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
- Floating between two locations is required
- Patient population includes pediatric patients with complex congenital heart defects
- Utilizes GE Vivid 95 ultrasound and PACS system for reporting
- EMR system in use is Epic; experience preferred
- Strongly recommend providing an MD reference
- Must be able to float between assigned clinic locations
- Extensive knowledge of complex pediatric heart disease and defects is required
- Return to work as a traveler requires a 1-year separation if previously a permanent or PRN employee
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of application; approval is based on facility needs
- Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a local rate and require HR approval
- Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start
- Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
- Scrubs or dress code requirements will be discussed during onboarding
- Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric echocardiography
- Current BLS certification (AHA required)
- ARDMS (PE) or CCI (RCCS) certification required; must be in hand by start date
- Proficiency in scanning pediatric echocardiograms and identifying complex congenital heart disease
- Experience with GE Vivid 95 and PACS preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Social Security Number and driver's license required for consideration
- First-time travelers accepted
