Registered Nurse for Mother-Baby unit providing postpartum and newborn care, including monitoring, medication administration, patient education (breastfeeding and infant care), and documentation. Requires ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS and NRP certifications, and preferably 1+ year experience in mother-baby, postpartum, or labor & delivery settings. Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1+ year experience in a mother-baby, postpartum, or labor and delivery setting preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications from the American Heart Association
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathetic patient and family-centered care
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during the postpartum period, monitoring both patients for signs of complications
- Administer medications as prescribed and perform routine assessments of both maternal and newborn vital signs
- Provide emotional support and education to new mothers, focusing on: safe, effective infant care, breastfeeding, and self-care post-delivery, while empowering them to care for themselves and their newborns
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and holistic care during and after hospital stay
- Accurately document maternal and newborn assessments, interventions, and outcomes in line with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $59,030 to $77,630 /year
