MRI Technologist – Position Summary Performs magnetic resonance imaging using advanced equipment and administers contrast as required. Additional duties may be assigned. Key Responsibilities: 25% Prepare the scan room and patient for examination. 25% Prepare and administer IV/oral contrast as needed; warm up equipment; enter patient data and scan parameters; review patient history and prior exams; screen and interview patients for contraindications; explain procedures and answer questions. 25% Transport, position, and assist patients; assess allergies; administer IV contrast; perform scans using correct protocols, coils, and positioning; obtain additional or thinner images as needed. 15% Ensure accurate patient orientation and proper image labeling and sequencing. 10% Prepare records for the radiologist; verify complete clinical information; ensure images are correctly ordered; provide additional details as requested.
