This role involves providing inpatient rehabilitation care as a Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician in a 20-bed unit in Michigan. The physician leads patient care activities including admissions, discharges, IPOCs, and team conferences, focusing on conditions such as TBI, stroke, and amputations. The position is locum tenens coverage with no call or overtime, requiring board certification, MI licensure, and adherence to CMS guidelines.
Location: A beautiful waterside community with small town charm and big city amenities in Michigan. About 110 miles to Detroit!
Facility: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit that is patient-centered care involves advocating for the person's rights, empowering the patient to make decisions, and respecting the person's participation in decision-making. Persons served are actively involved in managing their rehabilitation and healthcare needs in partnership with the rehab team.

Opportunity:
- Seeks a Locum PM&R physician to provide coverage from Dec 23-31, 2024
- This is coverage of the inpatient rehab unit. 8a-5p. There is no call and no OT, 9 hours of patient care per day of coverage.
- Patients per day: 10-20
- Staff Support: This is a 20-bed inpatient rehab unit. The physician will cover face to face visits, admissions, discharges, IPOCs, and lead Team Conference.
- Current EHR: CERNER
- Procedures/Skills required: Physiatrist, PAPE/H & P, TBI, Stroke, Amputations, Clinical Staffing/Care Plan Meetings, Pre-Admission Screening Review & Documentation per CMS Guidelines, Prescribing Narcotics
- Board Certified (No BE) - Required
- MI License - Required at time of clear, no exceptions - not accepting IMLC
- BLS - Required
- Provider must be local - REQUIRED, no exceptions
- Must have clean background for quick credentialing - REQUIRED no exceptions
