Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence at a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with tenants and visitors to deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and communication skills.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
Work collaboratively with property management and/or law enforcement as required, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.
Remain alert and aware of the surroundings to help to deter and report suspicious behavior or hazards within the commercial real estate location.
Adhere to all site-specific protocols regarding the carrying and use of authorized firearms, maintaining compliance with Allied Universal standards and legal regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
