Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 5+ years of recent L&D experience and a KY or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Patient population includes expectant mothers and newborns
• Shift is 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Bi-weekly orientation provided
• Schedule rotates 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
• Uses Meditech EMR system; experience required
• Staffing ratios may fluctuate with unit census and staffing needs
• Main responsibilities include the care and monitoring of laboring women and newborns
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• No local candidates accepted per radius rule
• Orientation is provided every other week

Requirements

• Active KY or compact state RN license required
• Minimum of 5 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), NRP (AHA only), NIH certification, Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• Experience with Meditech EMR required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration
