This locum tenens position seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatric Pulmonary Physician in Ohio to provide both outpatient and inpatient pulmonary care, including NICU and PICU consultations. Responsibilities include managing pediatric pulmonary diseases such as asthma and cystic fibrosis, interpreting pulmonary tests, performing bronchoscopies, and participating in night shifts and call rotations. Candidates must hold relevant certifications, an Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain one, and have a minimum of three years of experience preferred.
Urgent Need: Pediatric Pulmonary Physician Flexible Locum Schedule (Ohio) We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatric Pulmonary Disease Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Wooster, Ohio. This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic services and inpatient consults, including NICU and PICU coverage, within a collaborative and well-supported healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Provide pediatric pulmonary consultations and manage conditions such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, and chronic lung disease Deliver inpatient consult coverage, including NICU and PICU as needed Interpret pulmonary function tests and perform bronchoscopy (if credentialed) Participate in call rotations and weekend coverage Schedule Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, 5 nights per week Minimum commitment: one week per month Ongoing locum coverage required Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonary Disease Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Pulmonology Active Ohio Medical License or willingness to obtain ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required DEA and Ohio CSR required Minimum 3 years of experience preferred Academic or tertiary-care experience a plus Additional Information IMLC-certified candidates welcome (LOQ required) NPDB self-query required This is a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized care to pediatric patients while working alongside a dedicated medical team.
