Locum Tenens - Orthopaedic Surgery (Hand) in North Carolina Location: near Shelby, NC We are seeking a skilled and board-certified Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment while providing top-notch care to patients. Key Responsibilities: Provide 24-hour Emergency Department call coverage, managing hand surgeries and related emergencies. Collaborate with a dedicated team of RNs and technicians who support the OR and patient units. Conduct patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans for hand-related conditions. Utilize Cerner as the electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation. Position Details: Duration: 7 months Projected Start Date: May ongoing Coverage Dates: Specifically needed from July 2 to July 6, to 24-hour call shifts per month Daily patient volume: Approximately 4 patients Qualifications: Must hold a current North Carolina medical license and DEA registration. Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery with a subspecialty in Hand Surgery is required. Ability to work independently and make informed clinical decisions.
