They collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide emergency care. Your expertise will contribute to assessing, diagnosing, and managing complex medical conditions, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses and treats undiagnosed patients for various diseases and conditions within NP scope.
- Writes treatment and medication orders; provides emergency care.
- Monitors ongoing care, orders appropriate diagnostic tests; and interprets results to plan treatment.
- Establishes priorities for health management; provides follow-up treatment.
- Communicates health findings, diagnoses, outcomes, and prognoses to patients and families.
- Support and counsel patients on managing their conditions.
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare providers to assess and diagnose patient status.
- Develops and implements treatment plans; may admit and discharge patients per policy.
- Prescribes medications within regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Active NP license in the state of California
- 1 to 2 years of Critical Care experience (preferred)
- Active DEA
