The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using general radiographic equipment and advanced modalities such as CT, MRI, and Mammography under radiologist supervision. This role requires state licensure, ARRT certification, and continuous education to maintain competencies across imaging technologies. Responsibilities include patient care, adherence to safety protocols, and use of healthcare information systems for recording and reporting imaging results.

Under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of department leadership, this position competently performs imaging on all general radiographic equipment and is provided the opportunity and encouragement to expand their skill set into other modalities such as Interventional Radiology, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Bone Density. Responsible for appropriate scanning and imaging protocols in all qualified in all areas where competent and certified. Must have the ability to recognize general radiography anatomy. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.
