American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and BLS certification for a home health assignment utilizing Cerner EMR.
Responsibilities- Home health occupational therapy position in a post-acute care setting
- Flexible day shifts, primarily Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Required to cover an assigned geographical region
- Will work with a diverse patient population including orthopedic, stroke, joint, and spinal injury cases
- Every third weekend coverage is required
- May be required to cover minor holidays and major holidays if needed
- Business attire with white lab coat required; jeans are not permitted
- Cerner EMR is used in this role
- Duties include managing patient care for orthopedic, stroke, joint replacement, and spinal injury diagnoses
- Supportive team includes perm staff Rehab Aides, OTAs, and PTAs
- A floor-specific orientation lasting 1.5 to 2 weeks is provided
- Candidates may not have been employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Assigned region coverage required as part of duties
- Active Occupational Therapist license required; pending licenses not accepted (license required if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant OT experience
- Current BLS certification is required
- Experience with Oasis documentation is required
- One year of experience in a home setting is preferred but not required
- Copy of driver’s license must be provided
- Two references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and eligibility for rehire
