The Hematology/Oncology Physician provides specialized care primarily focusing on hematologic conditions with some oncology responsibilities in a community cancer center. The role involves managing a wide range of blood disorders and cancers with multidisciplinary collaboration, including tumor boards and inpatient consults. Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive hematology-focused care (approx. 90% Hematology, 10% Oncology) in a busy, community-based Cancer Center.
• Manage a broad range of benign and malignant hematologic conditions with access to on-site infusion, lab, imaging, radiation therapy, and multidisciplinary specialists.
• Participate in Tumor Boards, collaborate on clinical research, and rotate through Q9 inpatient consult coverage at local hospitals.
• Work closely with NPs/PAs, infusion RNs, pharmacists, and a strong primary care referral base to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology; eligible for California licensure.
• Strong clinical expertise in hematologic disorders and general oncology.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.
