Our job summary

The Restoration Technician responds to emergency property damage situations, performing water extraction, fire and smoke damage restoration, microbial remediation, and demolition tasks. They work in both residential and commercial settings, often supervising temporary labor and ensuring high levels of customer service. Training is provided, and the role requires the ability to be on-call and occasionally travel for work-related activities.

BluSky Restoration wants to hire YOU as a full-time Restoration Technician for our Roanoke office. This position has a starting pay of up to $25 an hour, depending on experience!

Brief Description:

The Restoration Technician is a first responder on property loss situations and helps mitigate damage in residential and commercial structures. Technicians are responsible for water damage mitigation, structural board-up and security, on-location cleaning, microbial remediation, content pack-outs, content processing/deodorization, content storage, and handling.

Responsibilities:

Water extraction and mitigation
Fire and smoke cleaning and restoration
Microbial remediation
Vandalism, crime scene, and biohazard clean-up
Demolition (Demo Day!)
Field management and supervision of all temporary labor personnel
Provide the highest level of customer service with empathy
All other duties or projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background check
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
Ability to be on-call 24 hours a day
1 year of restoration industry or maintenance experience preferred

TRAVEL:

Occasional travel. (Less than 25% of the time.) Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.

COMPENSATION:

BluSky offers a competitive base pay between $20 - $25 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package that includes: a matching 401(k) plan, health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, paid holidays, disability, equipment appropriate to the position (i.e., laptop, smartphone, etc.), and corporate apparel allowance.
