iDEAL Hire is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois.
Job Description & Requirements

Number of Beds: 20 beds, all private, all monitored.
Nurse: Patient Ratios: Ratio – 1:3, depending on patient acuity and population can go to 1:4.
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred, CCRN or PCCN a plus.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients:
- Patient Population – Stepdown patients from AHU ICU, TAVRs, Ablations, Watchmen Procedure, Micras, Mitral Clips, heart failure, trached and ventilated patients, overflow from other Stepdowns including COVID patients.
- Specialty Intervention Equipment – Swan Ganz, External Pacemakers.
- Lines PICC, Midlines, CVC, Swans, Arterial Lines (radial and femoral).
This unit needs someone who is proficient in all cardiovascular ICU components with the exception of immediate post op (would be a bonus if the candidate did), VAD and transplant. They utilize swans, CVC, and art lines daily on majority of our patients. They utilize temporary pacemakers on a lot of our patients. They get multiple EP patients. They have IABPs. They titrate multiple drips frequently. They have a lot of ventilated patients. All of these items could be on one patient and sometimes two of these in one assignment.
2 years continuous experience in CVICU/CTICU Can submit with IL license pending with copy of receipt.
