Outstanding opportunity to join anational leader in Neurosurgery. The Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Hartford HealthCare has a new opportunity available for a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant/APRN to join our Advanced Practice team at St. Vincent s Medical Center, located in Bridgeport, CT.
Practice autonomously, but collaboratively with a team of attending neurosurgeons and APPs providing advanced specialized care to neurosurgical patients including open spine, MIS Spine and deformity, intracranial cases, neurovascular, peripheral nerve, and neurotrauma, and neuro-interventional radiological cases.
This role will assist in providing 24/7 coverage on the inpatient side of neurosurgery including weekdays (day & night shifts), weekends (day & night shifts), and holidays.
Job details:
- Managing neurosurgical spine and brain patients on the floor and ICU setting.
- Intake H&PEs, progress notes, consultations, pre- and post-operative care, and discharges.
- Providing neurosurgical consultations in the hospital and in the Emergency Dept.
- First assisting the attending neurosurgeon with any, including emergency procedures.
- Shifts include 6am-7:00pm or 6pm-7:00am. Totaling 3 shifts per week.
