American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Adult Emergency Department position, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of ED experience.
Responsibilities- Position in the Adult Emergency Department within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- Care for adult patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies
- Assignment is for a 13-week contract
- No local candidates accepted due to a 50-mile radius rule
- Responsibilities include assessing, monitoring, and providing direct care to emergency patients
- Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Documents patient responses to interventions and treatments and communicates changes to physicians
- Works collaboratively with physicians and support staff in a fast-paced team environment
- Interacts with patients and families to deliver care plans and provide education at discharge
- Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of one year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Strong knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, and procedures
