Job Description
As a Security Officer - Defense Security Clearance Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a visible presence at a leading aerospace and defense location. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for personnel and property.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any security-related incidents or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
