Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Sioux City, IA 51104 (Iowa nursing jobs)
• Unit: 6SW Post Critical – Cardiac Stepdown
• Assignment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week (every other weekend required)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880–$2020
• EMR: Cerner Powerchart
• Patient Ratio: 1:5

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN experience
• At least 1 completed travel nursing contract
• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact state license)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Proven clinical skills in cardiac care, including titration of cardiac drips
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities
• Submission of updated resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, certifications, and 1 supervisory reference

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit
• Monitor and manage patients with CHF, post-cardiac angiogram, ablation, pacemaker, TEE, cardioversion, stroke, and cardiac drips (Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardiazem, Nirdipine, Heparin, Lidocaine)
• Titrate cardiac drips and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float within the same nursing discipline across local Sioux City campuses as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner Powerchart EMR
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as required
