IR RN - Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse Shift Details
- 4x10.0 hour shifts
- D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule
- Floating assignment
- Holidays and weekends required
- On call/callback responsibilities
- Charge duties per unit needs
- 13 or 17 week assignments available
Position Overview
- Fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 Trauma center
- Care for inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan
- Work within a multidisciplinary team
- Responsible for pre-procedural preparation of patients and post procedural recovery and overnight observation care
- Experience with GI post procedural care is preferred but not required
Department Focus
- High energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging
- Specialize in providing care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray and ultrasound
- Good communication skills and ability to critically think are essential
- Team oriented, enthusiastic, flexible and organized candidates preferred
- Medical/Surgical and telemetry experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- RN responsible for pre/post and 23hr care for IR patients
- Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure
Job Requirements
- 2 years' Registered IR Nursing experience (Two years' experience)
- Telemetry Experience Required
- New York RN license (ONLY)
Required Certifications
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
