We are seeking a Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 20-day locum tenens assignment in New York, beginning Jan 2, 2026. This opportunity features day shifts, Monday through Friday, with clinical work starting Jan 5, 2026. The provider will work with adult and geriatric patients, delivering specialized care in Radiation Oncology.

Job Details

• Provider Type Needed: Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00–17:00

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assess, diagnose, monitor, and manage patient conditions within the scope of Radiation Oncology and area specialty practice
• Perform history and physical exams, including pelvic exams as appropriate
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities, limited to procedures with documented training and experience
• Implement therapeutic interventions specific to patient conditions as indicated
• Conduct arterial punctures and blood gas sampling
• Provide care for superficial wounds, including debridement and minor superficial surgical procedures
• Perform incision and drainage of superficial abscesses
• Insert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubes
• Complete Death Certificate Protocols
• Remove central venous catheters
• Provide care to adult and geriatric patients, including those in intensive care settings, in accordance with unit policies

Additional Information

• Active New York NP license required
• Required board certifications: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGPCNP-BC), Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)
• Required certifications: Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Nurse Practitioners may not serve as admitting providers
