Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position in Ohio requiring an active OH or compact license and strong PCU or med-surg background.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00PM-7:30AM)
- Rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays included in the schedule
- Estimated patient ratios are 1:4
- May be required to float to different units within the organization as needed
- Use of Epic EMR is required
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting as soon as contract is signed
- RTO (requests for time off) must be included at the time of contract
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Team structure may require flexibility and support across units as needed
- Rotating holiday coverage is expected
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or med-surg RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership capacity
- Former employees eligible if away for 6 months or more; current Ohio State University hospital employees ineligible
