Job Title:Physician Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN)Location: Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, KY 42223
Work Schedule: Rotating shifts covering a 24/7 ( ), Monday Sunday
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O). Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canda, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in the practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology within the past 3 years.
- Experience must include inpatient obstetric care, outpatient gynecology, and surgical OB/GYN procedures such as cesarean deliveries.
- License/Certification
- Unrestricted, valid medical license in any U.S. state or territory
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology by ABMS or AOA Bureaus of Osteopathic Specialists
- Current DEA registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive Obstetric and Gynecologic care to eligible beneficiaries.
- Conduct outpatient services including prenatal, antenatal, postpartum, and gynecological care.
- Perform inpatient services, including triage and management of laboring and postpartum patients.
- Support a high-volume labor and delivery unit (+ deliveries per month).
- Perform and assist in OB/GYN surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and D&Cs.
- Respond to emergency room consultations and OB/GYN-related urgent issues.
- Maintain a minimum of 2.75 patient visits per hour in the clinical setting.
- Participate in rotating shift coverage ( ); no on-call requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with DHA and MTF standards.
- Maintain current credentials, certifications, and complete required DoD training (e.g., HIPAA, OPSEC, Cybersecurity, AT Level I).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and uphold professional conduct standards.
- Submit and maintain credentialing documentation in accordance with MTF requirements.
