A Cardiology Physician provides specialized cardiovascular care to adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures such as echocardiography, EKGs, and stress tests, supervising advanced practice providers, and participating in a rotating call schedule. The role supports a level 1 trauma center with a focus on clinical service growth and maintaining high standards of cardiac care.
SCHEDULE :
- MON-FRI 8AM-5PM
- Weekends needed 24 HOURS
- Weeknight call 5PM-8AM

- Average Number of Clinic Patients Per Day: 12-14
- Average Number of Inpatient Admissions Per Physician Per Day: Not responsible for direct admissions (handled by hospital), 5-10 consults per day
- Trauma Level/Designation: Level 1
- Number of Cardiologists Physician in Group: 17
- Will Other Cardiologists be Present During our Locum's Coverage? Yes
- Will the Locum Physician be Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers?: APPs will support rounding, and will need supervision; also supervise stress tests cardiac rehab as needed
- Patient Age Demographic: Adult
- Documentation System/EMR: Epic
- Prefers local candidates or physicians that are already licensed in MN.

- Transesophageal Echocardiography
- Electrical Cardioversions
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Treadmill Stress Tests
- Chemical Stress Tests

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS :
- Board Certified or Board Eligible - Required
- ACLS - Required
- MN License - Preferred
- Local Candidates - Highly Preferred
