Job Description
A Fleming Island, Florida based client is seeking a Family Practice Physician to provide excellent primary care services to the community. An ideal candidate is a self-starting leader who works well in a collaborative environment, is efficient and effective at providing medical care, and values patient centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
- Current Florida medical license
- Completed an accredited residency program
- Current DEA certificate
- Board certified or board eligible in primary care
- Current BLS certification
- Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages
- Manage acute and chronic conditions
- Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
- Perform therapeutic procedures, manage wounds and injuries, and educate patients on their treatment plans
- Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
- Participates in daily interdisciplinary huddles
- Assist in patient utilization review of services and quality improvement
- Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
