The Ultrasound Tech - Nights operates ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic exams and invasive procedures on patients of all ages during night shifts. They provide patient care, utilize knowledge of anatomy and pathology, and communicate with medical staff and radiologists. Certification and registration with ARDMS or equivalent are required within six months of employment.
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 9:00pm -7:30am
On-call and Holiday requirements
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
Responsibilities: Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Qualifications: Education- Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required or
- In Lieu of certificate, equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Required
- No experience required Required
- 1 year of experience Preferred
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography Must become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months of employment. within 180 Days Required and
- Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment. within 180 Days Required and
- (BR) ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS) Required
- RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Preferred
- RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Preferred
