- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2000 - $2050
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (Oncology or Medical-Surgical nursing preferred)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care skills
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology and medical-surgical patients
- Perform head-to-toe assessments, start IVs, insert NG tubes, change dressings, administer medications, and insert Foley catheters
- Access and maintain Mediports throughout the shift
- Assist with bedside bone marrow aspirations
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy to oncology patients in the unit and throughout the hospital
- Deliver outpatient oncology treatments when the Outpatient Cancer Center is closed
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date nursing documentation
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized patient care plans
- Offer emotional support to patients and families
- Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing clinical hazards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members and participate in ongoing professional development
