Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and recent MS/Tele experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Patient population includes adults requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
- 3x12 hour shifts with day/night rotating schedule (7am-7:30pm/7pm-7:30am), variable as needed
- May float according to operational needs
- Use of telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm recognition required
- Must work at least every other holiday as part of the rotation
- Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start
- Fingerprinting and badging to be completed onsite prior to start date
- Modules to be completed pre-start and annually; tracked via Silkroad
- PAPRs will not be considered as alternatives except for approved medical or religious exemptions
- Perm and per diem staff may not return within 1 year of previous assignment end date at this health system
Requirements
- Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in MS/Tele within the last 2 years required
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required with no pending status
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
- No open criminal cases or license restrictions accepted
