This position involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY. The role requires board-certified or board-eligible physicians in family or general medicine to conduct interview-based and some physical assessments without prescribing or treatment. The job is part-time with flexible hours, requires a full Kentucky medical license, DMA certification, and focuses on supporting Veterans through a government contractor.

Facility:
This position is with a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans through Veterans Evaluation Services (VES). The work involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments either at the provider's own office location or at designated facilities within a 50-mile radius of Paducah.

Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans• Position requires 2 days per week in the Paducah area (50-mile radius required)• One-time non-treatment CP exams + separation health assessments• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing• No prescribing or treatment required• Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours)• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products allowed)• Must have active and unrestricted full Kentucky medical license• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Acceptable specialties include: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension• Regular administrative follow-up work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)• One-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams• Local candidates only, travel included in rates• Cannot be active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
