American Traveler is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist with ARRT certification and Level 1 trauma experience for a weekend night shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Position is in a Level 1 trauma center supporting over 30 operating rooms, 6 ICUs, a 70+ bed ER, and approximately 700 inpatient beds
- Work in both emergency and surgical settings with adult patient populations
- Procedures include imaging of extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax, as well as surgery and C-arm cases
- Equipment used includes GE and Siemens X-ray machines
- Charting is performed in Cerner EMR system
- Schedule is Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (3x12 hour night shifts)
- Candidates may be required to float within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals as needed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All travelers are required to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital
- Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Five days or less of requested time off can be auto-approved per policy
- Former staff must be separated from employment for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted for this allied position
- Candidates are expected to wear scrubs per unit dress code
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years recent experience as an X-Ray Technologist in a Level 1 trauma setting
- Current ARRT and BLS certifications required (AHA or RQI accepted and must be current)
- Experience in ER, OR, and with surgery/C-arm procedures is required
- Indiana license or compact license required prior to start; license pending may be considered if within 2 weeks of start date (license required if applicable)
- Degree from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation
- Experience with Cerner EMR charting required
