Job Overview
Stellar Manufacturing, an affiliate of Leslie’s, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our chemical manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair in an industrial environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor equipment to troubleshoot issues and test performance.
- Review and complete work orders accurately; seek clarification when needed.
- Set up and operate drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to fabricate or repair parts.
- Repair, rebuild, and adjust equipment, including mechanical and control components.
- Install machinery, equipment, devices, and instruments.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including lubrication, filter changes, inspections, and cleaning; document activities in the preventive maintenance system.
- Coordinate with the supervisor to initiate purchase orders for parts and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbook entries to document maintenance activities and equipment issues.
- Ensure compliance with plant labeling requirements and proper chemical handling.
- Recommend improvements to equipment performance and maintenance processes.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Read, write, and speak English to document issues, complete logs, and understand technical manuals and parts catalogs.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or completion of relevant technical coursework.
- Perform basic math, take accurate measurements, and read blueprints and/or schematics.
- Experience using tools and equipment such as drill presses, hand tools, micrometers, welding equipment, and drafting tools.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling for extended periods.
- Lift up to 100 pounds and work in confined or uncomfortable positions.
- Work safely in environments with potential chemical exposure.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators.
- Work in both hot and cold conditions.

Pay: $31.34 - $33.00/Hourly
