A Hospitalist Physician provides comprehensive inpatient care for patients with acute and chronic conditions in a community hospital setting, collaborating with specialists and supporting hospital operations. They diagnose, treat, and manage internal medical diseases while promoting preventive health among hospitalized patients. This role requires an MD or DO degree, internal medicine residency completion, and medical licensure eligibility in West Virginia.
We are seeking adedicated Hospitalist Physician to join a diverse, patient-centered hospitalistgroup in a large community hospital setting in West Virginia. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient clinical care for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage diseases and injuries of the internal organ systems.
- Establish and promote preventive health practices for hospitalized patients.
- Collaborate with consultants from multiple specialties to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support hospital operational goals.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a West Virginia medical license.
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
