Job Details:

• 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratios 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Strong CRRT and IABP experience mandatory
• Must be proficient in airway management and management of ventilated patients
• Arterial line management experience preferred
• Experience with management of dysrhythmias and central line management required
• Competency in IV drip management and isolation precautions
• Computerized documentation skills required
• Interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias required
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and titration of IV vasopressors
• Must have experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• May float to different units as needed
• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility to qualify for traveler rates
• Kentucky nursing license in hand or compact license required at submission
• Two professional references required

The ICU offers interdisciplinary support through IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The unit handles a variety of critical conditions including STEMI, stroke, renal failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest care, and various surgical procedures with specialized equipment and protocols.
