This position is for a licensed Health Psychologist to join a Vermont hospital's outpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Spine program, focusing primarily on chronic musculoskeletal health, neurologic conditions, and sleep disorders. The role involves individual and group assessment and treatment, collaborative shared medical appointments, and development of team and telehealth interventions within a 40-hour workweek. Candidates require a Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, APA-approved internship, and Vermont licensure, with the hospital recognized for high safety and care quality standards.
Vermont hospital is looking for a Health Psychologist to embed into their outpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Spine program services. (New Grads are encouraged to apply.) The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a variety of treatment settings. Traditional individual and group assessment and treatment opportunities will be plentiful, and they are interested in developing team interventions and virtual/telehealth services as well. The position includes working collaboratively with a physician during Shared Medical appointments and providing health psychology and pain management services to a primarily adult population. The primary practice focus is chronic musculoskeletal health with some neurologic conditions and sleep disorders; a large proportion of the patient population does have a history of complex trauma. Candidates should be skilled in diagnostic testing and assessment of individual and group psychotherapy, treatment plan development and implementation, consultative services and coordination of care. ACT, CBT, and MBSR are all encouraged. Patient population practice will see all ages, but primarily adult. This is a Monday Friday position, with patient hours scheduled in a 40-hour work week. No call. Looking for a candidate who has completed a Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and has completed an APA approved internship, who is licensed by the State of Vermont as a Clinical Psychologist-Doctorate.144 bed community hospital with ER volume of 36,000 patient visits per year. ER physicians are residency trained. ICU with 24-hour intensivist coverage. Service area 85,000. Average daily census is 100 - 125.
