Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and either RCIS or ARRT certification for an advanced cardiac cath lab role.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cardiac catheterization lab handling both elective and emergent PCI, pacemaker, and ICD implant procedures
- Average daily caseload of 4, working in a single procedure room
- Patient population includes STEMI patients and those requiring IABP and Impella support
- Day shifts, 8 hours each, from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Call is required as part of the schedule
- No floating to other units is required
- Epic EMR is used in this unit and experience with Epic is required
- Preferred skills include monitoring, ablations, pacemaker/defib device placement, hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, electrophysiology evaluation, and AICD or pacemaker insertion
- Unit orientation is provided and depends on previous experience
- Scrubs of any type are acceptable
- Open to first-time travelers with sufficient experience
- Travelers living within 50 miles are accepted at the local rate
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
- Valid NH state license required if applicable
- Current ACLS and either ARRT or RCIS certification required (AHA or Red Cross)
- Experience in scrubbing, balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, and both left and right heart catheterization
- Ability to obtain vitals and conduct rhythm interpretation
- References required for consideration, with potential to start pending second reference
- No consideration for candidates previously employed at any associated SolutionHealth facility
