Job Details
We are seeking experienced Labor & Delivery RNs for a 13-week travel assignment. This role requires flexibility with scheduling and the ability to work independently. Nurses must be comfortable functioning as the sole L&D nurse on shift when required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, including fetal heart monitoring
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and obstetric emergencies
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Accurately document patient care according to facility standards
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams as needed
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care at all times
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required
- Recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Ability to work independently and manage patient care autonomously
Preferred Certifications
- Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- ACLS
