Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night shift assignment, requiring an active GA or compact license and at least 2 years of CVICU experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Cardiovascular/Thoracic ICU within a hospital setting
- Care for critically ill adult cardiac and vascular patients
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment duration
- No on-call responsibilities
- Responsibilities include providing advanced care to postoperative cardiac and vascular patients
- Holiday time-off requests are limited and approved per assignment guidelines, with a maximum of 5 days off if not near holidays and 3 days if during holidays; only one holiday request allowed
- RTO that is consecutive with multiple holidays will not be approved; requests must be spaced out
- Dress code and other orientation details will be provided upon offer
- Returning travelers must provide the last 5 digits of their SSN for consideration
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU nursing experience required
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Must have strong experience with cardiac and vascular procedures, including endovascular cases
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- Former permanent staff of the health system must be separated for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
